ABC News - The New South Wales Healthcare Complaints Commission is investigating allegations that an elderly man became seriously ill after being left on a hospital bedpan for up to five days. The man was being treated at Sydney's Concord hospital. Health Minister John Hatzistergos says he is deeply disturbed by the allegations and has referred the matter to the HCC.
We hear stories like this on the news very often. I've been hearing it for years now, and it's the same crap over and over, story breaks, victims demand something be done, politicians promise something will be done, inquiry is called and a few weeks down the line every one forgets and the next case breaks.
