Happy to grant this rapist, this wish

Yahoo! News - A 62-year-old man who begged the judge at his trial to put him to death for the rape and murder of a young woman has been executed by lethal injection in Alabama. Jack Trawick was executed late on Thursday after being convicted of the murder of a 21-year-old woman in October 1992, prison officials said on Friday. Local media reported that he had confessed to the murders of three other young women.
That is a good thing this rapist has done, he committed evil, he knew it and he asked to pay the price. Would have been real great if he didn't ruin and destroy a woman's life, amongst others, in the first place, but at least he is better than the other pieces of shit whining and crying for the mercy they never offered to their victims. The sad thing is that there are many out there amongst us who would oppose the execution of this fellow, even when he asked for it. I offer the following to them, though I doubt very much that it will sway their views.
WSJ - ......Recent evidence, however, suggests that the death penalty, when carried out, has an enormous deterrent effect on the number of murders. More precisely, our recent research shows that each execution carried out is correlated with about 74 fewer murders the following year. For any society concerned about human life, that type of evidence is something that should be taken very seriously.
Indeed.
