Cautious optimism?

FOX News - Islamic law has been officially adopted in Britain, with sharia courts given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases. The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence. Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through county courts or the country's High Court, a part of its Supreme Court system.
As many of you also feel, I also despair at the road the British are traveling down. It seems as each day passes they are finding yet more ways of appeasing and bending this way and that way to accommodate Islam and everyone else but the ethnic Brits. However, I am cautiously optimistic at this news, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is a good thing, rather I hope that there is a silver lining somewhere in there. Fortunately for the Brits they still live in a democracy, though with all the cameras around and bureaucratic scumbags at every turn fining you for every damn thing, you can be forgiven for thinking it was some sort of police state. Read the following snippets I picked off the front page of the Daily Mail.
Daily Mail - Children as young as five should be taught to understand the pleasures of gay sex, according to leaders of a taxpayer-funded education project. Heads of the project have set themselves a goal of 'creating primary classrooms where queer sexualities are affirmed and celebrated'. The ambition was revealed in documents prepared for the No Outsiders project run by researchers from universities and backed with £600,000 of public money provided by the Economic and Social Research Council. ...... Patricia Morgan, author of studies of family life and gay adoption, said: 'The proposal is that primary school classrooms should be turned into gay saunas.

Daily Mail - A college has renamed the traditional Christmas and Easter breaks in a bid to avoid offending students from other religions. The college's new calendar shows that both of the traditional holiday periods have now been re-branded as 'end of term breaks'. Critics have complained that the decision by Yorkshire Coast College is nothing more than 'political correctness'.

Daily Mail - England has become the most crowded major country in Europe, official figures show. The number of people crammed in has overtaken those in Holland, long the most densely-populated major nation on the continent. A count released to MPs showed England now has 395 people per square kilometre. Crowding has increased because of high immigration into England while the Dutch population has fallen or remained steady.
It is Labour or the left who are running Britain now and they are deeply unpopular. I think this is because a lot of people are taking note of stories like the above and are extremely unhappy with the direction their nation is taking. And I believe people know that above are due to their pendulum swing, to the far-far left. Assuming this is correct, then the above stories about Islamic law being applied to some in Britain and teaching toddlers about gay sex are nails in the collective coffin of the left in Britain.

Let us hope and pray that at the next election the Brits will kick the left so far out of power they'll be literally wandering around the wilderness for decades. I'm talking the Tories back in power, the BNP cleaning up beyond all expectations or even taking power and Labour thoroughly savaged. I fear anything short of this sort of radical change in direction will be too little, too late. If they still don't get it, then news items like the above will just become a regular occurrence. We'll be sort of live-blogging the fall of the British nation, which would be a terrible thing and an indication of things to come to our shores.
