Good News - Haditha

All charges have been dismissed against two Marines accused in the killings of 24 Iraqi civilians in Haditha, the Marine Corps announced Thursday. In his decision to dismiss charges, Lt. Gen. James Mattis, the commanding general with jurisdiction in the case, said he was sympathetic to the challenges Marines on the ground face in Iraq.
"Where the enemy disregards any attempt to comply with ethical norms of warfare, we exercise discipline and restraint to protect the innocent caught on the battlefield," Mattis wrote in his letter to Sharratt. Source.
In his recommendation, Lt. Col. Paul Ware said murder charges brought against Sharratt were based on unreliable witness accounts, poor forensic evidence and questionable legal theories. Source. Via The Sniper.

MK – Congressman Jack Murtha was last seen, out of breath & at a loss for words, scurrying after a small cat who appeared to have, what looked like, a tongue in it’s jaws.

Update - Hot Air tried to contact (listen here) Congressperson Jack Murtha for a comment, but as expected, he is still out searching for that elusive feline. Thanks for the tip KG.
